Convinced that organizational performance depends on the success of the people within it, Virginie helps leaders and their teams develop their leadership. She supports them in navigating the transformations of their organizations, those moments when strategy alone is no longer enough, and when the human system carrying that strategy must also be steered. Her background as a senior executive, before becoming a coach, makes her a true sparring partner: a peer’s perspective, both demanding and supportive, from someone who has held the very positions she now questions.
Background and Experience
An engineer by training, Virginie began her career at IBM and then T-Systems, where she built a strong international commercial expertise, before founding and running her own venture. In 2010, she joined Microsoft, where she spent eight years rising to the position of B2B Marketing Director, in charge of the company’s business model transformation. It was in this senior leadership role that she developed a deep understanding of the unwritten codes of governance and executive committees, complemented by an Executive Education programme at INSEAD focused on business model transformation.
In 2018, she began a new chapter, training as a professional coach for executives and their teams at Académie du Coaching, culminating in an RNCP certification obtained over fifteen months. She then founded Build & Lead and worked as an independent coach, before joining NEXMOVE in 2022, where she has been Senior Executive Coach for 4 years. She continually enriches her practice through numerous specializations: systemic coaching of organizations and teams, DISC behavioural analysis, and change management.
Sparring Partner Practice
In every engagement, Virginie combines two roles. A coach’s role, working on posture, legitimacy and the barriers to exercising power, acting as a mirror for the leader’s thinking to guide them, firmly and gently, towards action and the achievement of their goals. And a mentor’s role: drawing on lessons from situations she has lived through herself, she acts as a sounding board ahead of key decisions and public statements, helps break the isolation inherent to leadership positions, and supports leaders in building and embodying a transformation narrative that holds over time.
In individual coaching, she works on taking up a new role, developing and expressing leadership and executive presence, political acumen, influence and the ability to anticipate the systemic consequences of a decision. In collective coaching, she observes the dysfunctions within the system to help the leadership team build a shared narrative, particularly in the context of major organizational transformations: restructuring, mergers, and changes in leadership or business model.
